Memona Niazi

Attorney

Memona Niazi was the first woman in her lineage to pursue higher education. She is also the first to become a lawyer. Coming from a Pakistani background, she built a strong foundation in advocating for herself and others. Memona learned that excellence in advocacy is the key to obtaining justice in America. She uses that advocacy in every case, in every trial, and for every client.

Memona believes the pulse of justice lies in the courts and the systems that create the laws that govern. She began her career as a Policy Analyst and Lobbyist in the Texas Capitol where she advocated for legislation that protected the people the system most often overlooks. Fighting these battles showed her firsthand the difficulties the underprivileged face in obtaining justice and served as the foundation for her transition to becoming a trial lawyer.

Memona earned her J.D. from South Texas College of Law Houston, where she received a Dean’s Merit Scholarship. Memona’s served on the school’s Board of Advocates and distinguished herself with national trial and appellate Championships. She was awarded the Dean’s Advocate Award. Memona earned her B.A. in History from Baylor University, with minors in Political Science and Religion, and studied theology and history as a visiting student at the University of Oxford.

Before joining the Firm, Memona tried cases as an Assistant District Attorney for the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. There, she worked closely with victims and their families and saw that cases are won by understanding the people behind it, not just the file. That experience taught her a simple rule: the client is the case. She employs this rule in every case to help her clients obtain the best result possible. ‏
